Passport fees

Passport fees are set by Parliament in Pounds Sterling. But all fees should be paid in Omani Rials in cash or by cheque from certain local banks payable to British Embassy.

We regret that we are unable to accept neither credit cards, nor personal or company cheques. Fees are charged to cover the cost of processing an application. All fees are subject to change at short notice.

Passport fees, once paid and receipted, are non-refundable. These are subject to change either by parliamentary decree or by local rate of exchange.

The cost of issuing a British Passport overseas from 5th September 2009 are as follows (in Omani Riyals):

 Adult Passport (32 page)  81.000
  Adult Passport (48 page)  98.000
Child under 16 standard Passport (32 page only)  52.000
 Emergency passport  45.000
Out of hours call out fee  83.500
