Janet Ford is head of the UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) team at the British Embassy and has been in Muscat since October 2005. She is seconded to the Foreign Office from the Department for Trade and Investment.

Her previous appointment was in UKTI in London, in the Strategy and Communications team. Janet has also served in the Commercial Section at the Embassy in Maputo, Mozambique.

For interest, Janet enjoys walking, exploring the countryside and learning about local arts and crafts.
