Alison's background is in Investment Banking and after leaving a successful career in the UK she arrived in Muscat in March 2005 with her husband, who is the Bursar at the British School Muscat.  Since then Alison has been active in charity work as well as advertising and tourism, and has particularly appreciated the opportunity to bring up her son in such a wonderful country. Alison took up the position of Vice Consul in March 2009.
