Our Ambassador
Dr. Noel Guckian OBE took up the position of Her Majesty’s Ambassador in Oman on 11 December 2005. He is accompanied by his wife, Lorna, and four children.
He joined the British Diplomatic Service in 1980. His career has seen service in Saudi Arabia, France, Libya, Kuwait , Oman and Syria.
His last job before coming to Oman was as Consul General in Northern Iraq, based in Kirkuk. He enjoys diving, sailing and fishing.
