Salman al-Awdah, general supervisor of Islam Today, has addressed a message to Ayman al-Zawahiri, the second-in-command in Al-Qa'idah, calling upon him to stop promoting Al-Qa'idah's ideology and end the ongoing deception that exhausts the efforts of the Muslims, particularly the youth.
In a statement posted on his website, Al-Awdah added that Al-Zawahiri, in his capacity as the actual theorist of Al-Qa'idah, has to review his principles and think how many Islamic nations were affected by him. Al-Awdah affirmed that this revision requires patience and courage in facing oneself.
Moreover, he called upon those who adopt takfiri and murder ideologies, headed by Ayman al-Zawahiri, to embrace peaceful and modern means of negotiation because they are the only means to gain what they can not gain by using power and hostility.
